NaNoWriMos

My NaNo participation has been hit or miss, but here’s where you can find all the NaNo projects I’ve written and shared

2013 Haven – The first NaNo, with Rain, Rook, and Zig

Brooke keeps dreaming about dying. Not her death, but the deaths of those around her. Strangers. And something dark on silent wings. Rook has watched her for centuries, through lifetime after lifetime. It’s never been enough to save her. Something is hunting in her city, and it’s getting closer with every kill. Will she solve the mystery before the death she dreams is her own?

2014 Lost With No Haven – Rain’s second book, theorhetically

Jon wasn’t a fidgeter. But as he stood on the porch, waiting to inform the woman inside that she was now a widow… well, of course he fidgeted. Anyone who didn’t know him couldn’t tell- he kept his hands clasped tightly behind his back, which was rod straight, jaw set, eyes forward. But Rook would know the lines around his eyes were too tight, would see the way he ground his teeth, would hear the occasional squeaking of his boots as he curled his toes under.Rain noticed none of this.It felt so strange to be standing outside, waiting to be invited in. While it wasn’t her home, exactly, she still felt the right to be here, but Jon…Jon didn’t belong to her world in any way.If she could undo it, she would.

2015 Haven book 3 – I made it exactly 591 words into this before I admitted to myself I did not want to be writing YA 😛

2016 Asylum redraft – Attempted to revamp Asylum and start back up with it as a web serial. Instead I let it go for now and moved on to other projects

2017 Serpent/avian shipfics – believe it or not, I still hadn’t writing Hawksong fanfic yet. But this was pretty close 😛

2018 Micah’s story – I had these neat concept for a Deaf thief character, and started writing in the hopes that a plot would shake out. I’ve tried to return to this one a few times, and I’ll probably come back to it again and again til I find it

2019 Foxes and Fate – My second biggest project after Asylum. FnF helped me flesh out Otherside, and really understand the world of Asylumverse

Lia is out for a night of adventure, throwing caution to the wind after a life spent under the watchful wing of an overprotective mother. When a faery caravan comes to town, boasting itself as “The Best Show here or Otherside,” Lia decides its exactly the excitement she’s been craving. Magical, out of the ordinary, but still close enough to campus for comfort.

Tybee is out for a night of quick fun, looking for an easy score of his favorite fix: other peoples’ luck. When a pretty little bird comes to the show unattached, he moves in, all too ready to mix business and pleasure.

Gil is unlucky to be caught between them both. Originally sent to bring Tybee home, he find the caravan opens his life up to new experiences, and new people. He met Lia and fell head over heels—which was exactly the opening Fate needed.

A magical wager is cast, pitting Gil against Tybee in a gambol for Lia’s Fate. If Tybee wins, he gains the magic that has protected Lia all her life without her knowledge. If Gil wins, Lia’s protective mantle remains intact, but her memory of this fateful night at the caravan is forever erased. How can Gil compete in a contest where he loses either way? And how can Tybee win his prize and keep from breaking his best friend’s heart?

2020 – Witches Unfamiliar

A reluctant demon, a murderous mer, and a witch in over his head try to find a balance in this kinky, polyamorous love story

2021 – Revisiting Zig now that I know more about faeries and how they fit into the cosmology of the Asylumverse
