Alright, so I’ve been kicking around some ideas, and I’d like to hear some feedback. I don’t think I’d want to make any of these a weekly feature (I don’t have anywhere NEAR enough material to do it alone) but maybe like a bloghop, or a hashtag, or something? I dunno. It’s time to send my babies out into the world and let them fly or swim or be run over by a semi on the highway. We’ll see.
Monday?
Teaser Tuesdays: Pretty straight forward, just post a teaser of some sort
Wayback Wednesdays: For historical pieces, even if it’s just set a few years back in your timeline (like Rain’s story)
Throwback Thursdays, writer style: Dig up some of your OLD writing, like high school poetry old, or *shudder* first drafts
Fiction Fridays: Already a lovely thing, though largely dominated by flash fiction (which has never been my thing).
Sat-around-all-day-instead-of Saturdays: of SHAME! This is a motivator to NOT do said things instead of X
Sunday?
Any thoughts/feedback? Even better, any interest? 😀 I’d like to see at least one of these ideas come to life, but I’m just one writer.

I love these, and love the idea of seeing some of them up as blog hop (and would love to participate in then, it would help take care of some of my post schedule challenges). I will include some more thoughts in the longer note I’m going to send you when I’m not writing from my phone (which is autocorrecting every other word won’t…)

I’ve not thought too much about having a “theme” for every day. One of the issues you run into is having to meet that theme when the day rolls around, and I’ve found that leading into writer’s block. Maybe start out with a couple of days and see how it goes.

That’s why I was more interested in opening it up to other writers as well – there is no way I could keep up with a Throwback Thursday every week, for example. I only have so much older work to share.
But I liked the ideas, and would like to see what other people do with them, too, if I can get people interested.

I would love to throw out some posts on another blog. Sometimes I feel like I need to stretch a bit, try other things. Or just be a better writer on my blog. 😉

I think I’m hoping this grows into a blog hop. I suppose I leave this sitting a few more days and see if it attracts any more victims- I mean, interest, and go from there. 😛

It’s been a while since I’ve done a hop. I found them sort of lacking, because it seemed like all one was doing was hitting the same people who read you, and the exposure to new people was limited.

I’ve noticed that too- hence the lack of tagging new people for my the hops I’ve participated in.
Any ideas to overcome that?

I think it really takes being out on the blogs for a long time to bring in new people. I’ve been out here a while, and still trying to get 2,000 followers, and it’s a tough chore. I think there’s a lot of luck in being seen by the right people.
